Why Write an Obituary when you can Leave a Legacy?
Once upon a time, we had an idea to help foster the idea of capturing and preserving the histories of notable Nevada men and women, ordinary people whose accomplishments may never rise to the level of a formal biography, but still worth setting down - parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, teachers, mentors. People who made a difference in our lives. Our discussions resulted in the creation of a Legacy Page - a place for people to set down memories and recollections of friends and family members.
WHAT IS A LEGACY? A Legacy is a combination of biographical information, memories, accomplishments, photographs, stories, and meaningful details about someone whose life deserves to be remembered. It's the answer to the question, "What do you remember about Aunt Sadie?"
WHY CREATE A LEGACY PAGE? - Celebrate a life with a respectful and lasting tribute
- Share biographical information that may not fit a traditional obituary
- Provide public access through the NWHP website
- Create a meaningful memorial at a lower cost than many newspapers charge for an obituary
- Preserve Nevada stories for future generations of family, friends, researchers, and the public
HOW IT WORKS - Gather your information - facts, photos, what you'd like to say about this person.
- When you're ready, visit our website - nevadawomen.org
- Scroll down to the section that says "Leave a Legacy"
- Click "Start Here to Leave a Legacy"
- Choose the Legacy plan that best fits your tribute (see below)
- Provide your written tribute, a profile photo, and other images you would like to include
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? Legacy Basic - $40 Includes profile photo, up to 1,200 words about your honoree, up to 5 images Legacy Plus - $45 Includes profile photo, up to 1,200 words about your honoree, up to 10 images Legacy Premier - $50 Includes profile photo, up to 1,200 words about your honoree, up to 10 images, and up to 3 videos
